Warehouses help organize your equipment, projects, and field returns. Each warehouse has its own projects, equipment, serial numbers, defects, evidence records, repairs, and history.

- Why Use Multiple Warehouses
- Create a Warehouse
- Warehouse Data Independence
- Assign Access to Team Members
- Organize Your Projects
- Secure Access
1. Why Use Multiple Warehouses?
Warehouses allow you to separate business activities and avoid mixing data between different locations, teams, or inventories.
Example : A company operates a warehouse in Rennes, a warehouse in Paris, and a repair workshop. Each team works only within its assigned warehouse.
2. Create a Warehouse
An administrator can create one or more warehouses to structure operations. Each warehouse can have its own name and image for easy identification.
Example : A company has one warehouse in Rennes and another in Marseille. It creates a warehouse for each location to organize its equipment, projects, and teams.
3. Each Warehouse Is Independent
In StageReturn, each warehouse has its own projects, equipment, defects, evidence records, repairs, and history. Data is never mixed between warehouses.
Serial numbers are also managed independently within each warehouse. The same serial number can therefore exist in two different warehouses without creating a conflict.
Example : The Rennes warehouse has a machine with serial number SN-12345. The Paris warehouse also has a machine with serial number SN-12345. StageReturn treats them as two separate pieces of equipment because they belong to different warehouses.
Another example : A repair created in the Rennes warehouse will never appear in the Paris warehouse. Each warehouse maintains its own history, evidence records, and projects
4. Assign Access to Team Members
Each user can be restricted to specific warehouses only. This prevents team members from accessing information that is not relevant to them.
Example : Technicians assigned to the Rennes warehouse can only see Rennes projects, while national managers have access to all warehouses.
5. Organize Your Projects
All projects are linked to a warehouse. This makes equipment tracking, management, and searching much easier.
Example : A utility vehicle return is recorded in the Paris warehouse, while a tool repair is recorded in the Rennes warehouse.
6. Secure Access
StageReturn automatically verifies each user's permissions. A member without access to a warehouse cannot view its content or modify its data.
Example : A user authorized only for the Paris warehouse will not see projects, equipment, or repairs from the Rennes warehouse.
Best Practices
- Create one warehouse per physical location or business activity.
- Use clear and easy-to-identify names.
- Restrict access to relevant team members only.
- Regularly review user permissions.
- Separate activities when teams or inventories are different.
